My badge picture reminds me of how I feel when I get passports renewed.
It has been a quiet past few weeks for me, with Seattle summer finally in bloom and visitors coming into town. I’ve been taking tons of pictures and cooking up a storm, but have yet to make it on the blog – it’s coming soon, I promise!
More specifically, I’ve been working on a new and bittersweet transition in my life. After 6 years of service, today marks my last day at Microsoft – the company that has introduced me to the world of paid search, online advertising, and everything in between.
It has been a thrilling ride working on our advertising solutions and seeing the brand evolve from MSN Search, Live Search, and now Bing & Microsoft Advertising. We’ve come a far way since launching adCenter, growing display with the aQuantive acquisition, and evolving into the solutions-providing brand we are today.
I will never forget the amazing people I’ve been fortunate to meet and work with over the years. From managers to colleagues to partners to clients, I would like to personally thank those who have provided me guidance, their friendship, and some of the best memories of my life. You inspire me, and I know we only part to meet again. I will be cheering you guys on from the sidelines and look forward to staying in touch!
As for my next steps, I will be switching gears for a new adventure in the consumer electronics world at Amazon Wireless. Be sure to check it out next time you’re in the market for a new cell phone. Until then, I give my word that new photo and food blog entries will be coming in the coming days/weeks. Stay tuned!
